Is my document ever uploaded? No. SendSafe runs Vision (text recognition) and Natural Language (name detection) entirely on-device. The PNG or PDF you share never leaves your phone until you hand it to iOS’s share sheet.

The AI missed something — can I redact it manually? Yes. Drag your finger anywhere on the image to draw a black bar. Press and hold the eye icon (bottom toolbar) to verify the bar covers what you intended.

The AI flagged something it shouldn’t have. Tap a yellow highlight to redact it; the candidates you don’t tap are simply ignored on export. There’s no penalty for letting a false-positive sit there unredacted.

My PDF lost its searchable text after redacting. Is that a bug? No, that’s the point. SendSafe writes a flat image-based PDF — every page is rasterized so the redacted pixels can’t be selected, copied, or extracted by any PDF reader. This is the key reason we kill the “black sticker on PDF, text still copyable” failure mode that other redaction apps have.

I bought Premium on a different device. How do I unlock it here? Open Settings (gear icon, top right of the home screen) → Restore Purchases. Your Apple ID’s entitlement will sync within a couple of seconds.

Premium is showing as locked even though I paid. The most reliable fix is Settings → Restore Purchases. If that fails, force-quit SendSafe and reopen — Transaction.updates should re-fire and unlock the entitlement. Still no luck? Email us with your purchase receipt.

Can I get a refund? Apple, not SendSafe, processes refunds. Open the Wallet app on iPhone → tap your card → find the SendSafe transaction → tap Report an Issue, or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is there an iPad version? The current build is iPhone-first but runs on iPad in compatibility mode. A native iPad layout is on the v1.1 roadmap.

Will you add document type templates (Driver’s License, W-2, etc.)? Yes — that’s the headline feature for v1.1.
